14–15 November, Bologna @ TPO (Via Casarini 17)
We call upon a multitude of rebels and democrats who recognize in this European space-time an opportunity to radically transform the existing order. A European congress to conspire together, to confederate our struggles, knowledge and territories, and to begin building our Europe of the future (link to the call).
To participate, register via the online form HERE.
Saturday 14
Morning
9.30 – Assembly – Europe beyond the West within the Global Civil War
In the global civil war regime, we recognize Europe as the political and social space in which to act and confederate our struggles in order to reach a horizon of overall liberation.
Europe is now caught between the neoliberal project of the European Union on the one hand, and the rise of authoritarianisms and fascisms on the other, with both actively driving processes of war and rearmament. We want to reverse this trajectory by building a transfeminist, ecological, anti-capitalist and technological Europe for everyone: a space in which to build a movement against war without accepting any unjust peace. We believe this is the minimum political and organizational horizon on which to position ourselves, without limiting ourselves to practices of resistance.
Afternoon
14.30 – Assembly – Antifascism 2.0 is against remigration
Authoritarianisms and fascisms are acting at a transnational level through increasingly structured forms of organisation. What primarily holds them together is the ideology of remigration: the fantasy of a purged or segregated society, in which those who are deemed to exceed its boundaries can be exploited, deported or suppressed. To be effectively anti-fascist today, we need to strike at this point by organising at least at a European level — since the national space is no longer sufficient to effectively confront remigration — and by denying the Black International any space to speak.
16.00 – Talks
- Reclaiming Tech & AI for people and the climate.
The oligopolistic development of the tech sector is directing Artificial Intelligence and new technologies towards capitalist profit, turning data centres into energy-hungry monsters that deepen social and environmental inequalities. We need to reverse this direction: AI and new technologies must serve the common good and the fight against climate change. Not against technology, but for alter-technologies and alter-AI.
- From the East, a New Europe.
Thinking of our continent as a space of possibilities means looking towards where things are moving. In recent years, Eastern Europe has emerged as a dynamic terrain of conflict, crossed by war but also by mass social movements that have challenged power and the status quo. Together with those who have experienced these movements, we ask ourselves what desires and aspirations have driven these different upheavals, and whether we can build our new Europe from the force they have generated, together with those who have carried them forward.
- Networks of Urban Resistance.
The need to move beyond the nation-state and the violence it produces pushes us, in Europe, to think about how to confederate rebellious cities and territories through their networks of conflictual mutual aid, popular clinics, housing struggles, trade unionism, and demands for a European basic income — moving beyond municipalism towards a network of urban and territorial resistance.
And more talks coming…
Evening – Music and performances
Sunday 15
Morning
09.00 – Working Groups and Workshops
Building on Saturday’s discussion, participants from across Europe will meet to share know-how, create convergences, and discuss practices. We are identifying different Working Groups based on concrete fields of intervention:
- Tech, AI, climate and opposition to data centers.
- Conflictual mutual aid (popular clinics, the right to housing, urban trade unionism).
- Anti-fascist networks and campaigns.
- Against migrant detention, deportation and racial violence.
The working groups are still under construction. Write to us through the form if you would like to create one and organize it together with European groups.
11.30 – Assembly – We are the Plan – Make our Europe beyond the West
Building on Saturday’s discussions and Sunday morning’s working groups, we will develop the organizational and agenda-based Plan. Let’s build our Europe and put an end to Kings, wars and systemic chaos.
Logistics
The assemblies will begin on Saturday morning at 9:30 and end on Sunday at 14:00. Vegan lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday (please let us know about any dietary requirements or intolerances).
If you do not have accommodation in Bologna, we will organize shared accommodation across our spaces. You will, however, need to bring your own sleeping equipment (sleeping mat, sleeping bag, etc.).
Regarding travel costs, we are not able to offer support to everyone, but we may be able to provide assistance to those who need it.
The language of discussion will be English. We are also working on a system for simultaneous interpretation. If you prefer to communicate in another language, please let us know in advance so that we can try to organize interpretation. Also, if you are available to cover translation shifts, we need you! Let us know which languages you are available to translate.
To communicate any needs regarding these arrangements or other aspects of participation, please use the participation form!
IF YOU WANT TO HELP BUILD THE PROGRAM, ORGANIZING THE EVENT, TRANSLATION, COMMUNICATION OR ANYTHING ELSE, LET US KNOW THROUGH THE PARTICIPATION FORM HERE.
